Fresh food from the land, cooked over flame

Dine Out
Inspired by classic outdoor cooking, The Hide creates the feeling of eating food by the campfire, shared with others, in the landscape of the Peak District. We welcome families, walkers, riders, groups and dog owners, whether passing by or staying the night.
Using locally sourced ingredients from the Chatsworth Estate and trusted suppliers, we create smoky feasts on the grill, wood-fired pizzas in stone ovens, steaks and burgers, all served with family style sides.
Dessert is served with kids in mind, with an ice cream and topping station, and s’mores by the fire pit when the weather allows. Breakfast is a spread of hearty, healthy food that will set you up for the day ahead.
For those riding and walking out, we’ll prepare a ploughman’s lunch tiffin box, with tea and cake ready for your return.

We do take bookings, but we also welcome walkers and walk-ins. Please book using the calendar below.
