A Chatsworth Escape
The Hide was acquired by the Chatsworth Estate in 2024, and redesigned in 2025 with our rural location and a wide range of travellers in mind.
The Hide is part of Chatsworth Escapes, which brings together all the ways to stay at Chatsworth, along with our favourite things to do on the estate and in the Peak District. Our other properties are the Cavendish Hotel at Baslow, The Pilsley Inn, The Beeley Inn, and a large collection of holiday cottages, shepherds’ huts and heritage stays.
A Historic Setting
The original building was erected in the early 1800’s along the new turnpike road between Baslow and Chesterfield, and has been a welcome rest for travellers crossing the moors for around two hundred years. The story now continues with The Hide, and continues to be shaped by the landscape and moorland that surrounds it.
Close to Nature
Located at the edge of Chatsworth Estate, The Hide is encircled by far reaching views over the Derbyshire moorland. The A619 links the hotel directly to Baslow, Chatsworth, and the wider Peak District, so it’s easy to explore the local landscapes right from our front door.
