Rowsley Cottage
Named after the nearby village of Rowsley, a close-knit community on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate, Rowsley Cottage is a converted barn holiday cottage near Bakewell in the Peak District – providing a peaceful rural retreat with direct access to estate walks. Please note that regrettably dogs are not allowed at this property.
This single-storey converted barn dates back to the 1600s and was once part of a busy working farm. Today, it features an open-plan living area and a double bedroom with an en-suite, complete with wooden beams.
In Detail
Six external steps lead to an attractive, light and airy, triple-aspect open plan lounge with exposed beams, a smart TV with free Netflix and Wi-Fi access.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area leading to a spacious double aspect bedroom with exposed beams. The bedroom offers a king-size bed with en suite bathroom and shower over the bath.
Unfortunately this property is not dog friendly.
Escape from the fire door in Rowsley Cottage is via a short step down from the bedroom. It is possible to sit down and step out. Any guests which cannot safely use the means of escape should not reside in Rowsley Cottage at night.
