Kingfisher Cottage is a beautiful home in the picturesque valley of Monsal Dale, just a stone’s throw from the River Wye and the Monsal Trail. It is the perfect base to explore the surrounding Peak District and its many activities. The cottage is located just six miles from Chatsworth and three miles from the popular market town of Bakewell.
Kingfisher Cottage sits in a peaceful location and has been thoughtfully renovated. The cottage includes a spacious double-height reception area, exposed beams and a large open-plan kitchen and dining area. With three en-suite bedrooms and a riverside garden, it offers plenty of space for a countryside break.
In Detail
GROUND FLOOR
The spacious double-height reception has engineered oak flooring, exposed beams and trusses, log burner, large Smart TV and an antler chandelier. The reception leads to the fully-equipped open-plan kitchen and dining area with an Italian tiled floor.
The ground floor twin bedroom with exposed stone wall and a large picture window overlooking the River Wye. There’s also an adjoining en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The spacious second ground floor bedroom has a king-size four-poster bed with an en suite shower and toilet.
The ground level has underfloor heating throughout from a state-of-the-art biomass system.
FIRST FLOOR
The original stone staircase with exposed limestone walls leads off from the kitchen up to the first floor bedroom, containing a king-size bed and stand-alone claw bath. There is a Juliet balcony providing fabulous views of the River Wye below.
OUTSIDE
Outside is a riverside garden and seating area with garden furniture and barbeque. There is ample parking for up to three cars.

Chatsworth Multi-Entrance Tickets
Visiting Chatsworth? We can provide multi-entry tickets to the house, gardens, farmyard and playground for you to use throughout your stay. These can be added to your booking by our team, who you can contact on 01756 718 111 or res@chatsworthescapes.co.uk.
These tickets give you unlimited access to Chatsworth House and Garden, with free car parking for the duration of your stay. Holders of these multi-entrance tickets are also not required to book a time slot, so you have complete flexibility.
With these tickets, there’s no need to rush to view all of the wonders of Chatsworth, as you can return the following day on the same ticket to see what you missed or revisit your favourite part.
Please note that tickets must be collected from your cottage before visiting Chatsworth.
Multi-entrance tickets are not valid for admission to events such as the International Horse Trials and Country Fair. Please note the farmyard and playground are closed during the Country Fair.
*Chatsworth tickets over the Christmas period (between 9th November and 5th January) are single entry only and prices will differ from normal multi-entry tickets. Multi-entrance tickets are not provided when Chatsworth is closed January – March.
