The Queen’s Reading Room Festival returns to Chatsworth for a second year, offering an inspiring two-day celebration of books, ideas, and storytelling. Guests can enjoy intimate talks, engaging discussions, and unforgettable performances from some of the world’s most celebrated writers and thinkers.
At the heart of the festival is a new Festival Hub on the South Lawn in the Chatsworth Garden, featuring dedicated talk theatres and a specially curated programme of entertainment. Highlights include the Writers’ Room and Poetry Room, where literature truly comes to life.
This year’s line-up includes Clare Balding, Harlan Coben, Lee Child, Cecelia Ahern, Elif Shafak, Kate Atkinson, Jeffrey Archer, Ann Cleeves, Lucy Foley, Jane Harper, and many more, promising a weekend rich in insight, creativity, and conversation.
Festival passes also include entry to Chatsworth House, where guests can explore the 2026 exhibition House of Stories: Tales from the Chatsworth Library, along with full access to the gardens and farmyard.
