Chatsworth Children’s Workshop & Walk
What are zombie trees? Find out in this free nature themed half term workshop and walk.
Spend a morning or afternoon discovering nature’s ‘underworld’ in these free family workshops staged over the February half term.
Based at the Stickyard, Chatsworth’s outdoor learning centre, you’ll use magnifying lenses to examine the fascinating world of moss, lichen and fungi. You’ll look at their composition, and discover how they use trees and bark to thrive during the winter months while providing a valuable habitat for tiny creatures and bugs (invertebrates).
You’ll also discover what ‘zombie trees’ are and find out more about the unique habitat they provide, and you can also take part in woodland inspired art activities.
18th, 19th & 20th February | 10am to 12 noon and 1pm to 4.30pm each day | Free and no booking required
