Family‑designed rooms are available at The Hide Hotel and The Pilsley Inn, with layouts shaped for shared space. We have cottages across the estate that suit groups of up to ten, and the Chatsworth Caravan & Motorhome Park is a short walk from the house and grounds.

Family friendly stays in the Peak District
We welcome families of all sizes, including those travelling with dogs.
Each property has children’s menus and easy access to activities across the estate.
Guests can buy flexible multi‑entrance tickets to Chatsworth, giving freedom to visit the house and garden as often as they’d like. The garden, farmyard and adventure playground at Chatsworth are strong favourites for children, and the maze is always popular.
Families with older children can enjoy the Chatsworth Health Club, with a swimming pool, gym and an outdoor court marked for tennis, netball, badminton and pickleball.

Cottages
Many cottages across our collections give families more space to stretch out.
Within the Chatsworth Collection, cottages like Moor View, Gardener’s Cottage, Plantation Cottage and Park Farm House suit families who want to stay close to the heart of the estate.
Ball Cross Farmhouse is a standout family option in the Ball Cross Collection, with room for 10 and a layout suited to larger groups. This collection is close to Bakewell with two other cottages that sleep 4.
Heathy Lea cottages offer smaller family bases on the edge of Chatsworth Parkland. Two cottages sleep 4, and offer views across Chatsworth and direct access to the estate.
In the Monsal Valley, four cottages in The Upperdale Colleciton sleep 4 and Kingfisher Cottage sleeps 6. Each provides a spacious riverside stay with views of the River Wye and valley trails close by.

The Pilsley Inn
Family Rooms at The Pilsley Inn offer space for two adults and two children.
Set on the ground floor of Broomes Barn beside the inn, they are shaped for comfortable family stays surrounded by the Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth Caravan Park
Chatsworth Caravan Park has more than 120 pitches and direct access to the estate.
Located in a former walled kitchen garden on the Chatsworth Estate, the setting works well for families, with guests receiving a key that opens our private entrance to the Chatsworth Parkland. From here there’s easy routes across the countryside for both walking and cycling.
