Chatsworth Caravan Park Frequently Asked Questions

During periods of extended dry weather and widespread drought conditions it may be necessary to restrict the use of BBQs. Please check with site staff on arrival to confirm the latest guidance onsite.

All super pitches have services at the pitch. For our standard pitches, there are designated service points.  

Yes. Every pitch has electric hook-up facilities.  

Yes, there is a small shop located in reception, stocked with our favourite items from Chatsworth Farm Shop. This includes fresh bread, milk, alcohol and pantry items. The nearest supermarket is Spar, located in nearby Baslow.  

We allow a maximum of 6 people on each pitch.

Children are welcome at the site. We have family friendly facilities and a playground nearby.  

If you’re travelling with friends and family in separate caravans/motorhomes, you can request adjacent pitches. To do so please contact our reservations team. Please note that we cannot guarantee adjacent pitches but we will do our best to accommodate. 

Electric car charging is not permitted onsite. Anyone found to be using the electric hook up (EHU) to charge their vehicle will be asked to leave.  

Fire pits are allowed when raised above ground level. Logs will be available to purchase from reception.

Smoking is not permitted when using inside facilities at Chatsworth Caravan Park.

On pitches with awning space, guests can erect an awning, however, should guests’ awnings be no wider than 2.5 metres.

Guests may also put up a tent for extra sleeping accommodation and item storage such as bikes, a specially designed toilet, or as a cooking tent. This is only permitted so long as the main outfit is occupied, please keep them within the designated pitch area.

All Electric Hook Up (EHU) are 16amp and electric is included in the price of your stay.

Yes, bicycles are permitted at Chatsworth Caravan Park and they can also be used on selected roads and bridleways on the Chatsworth Estate.

Yes, the Chatsworth Caravan and Motorhome Park is dog friendly but we ask that dogs are kept on leads at all times.

Ride on leisure equipment is not permitted at the Chatsworth Caravan Park, in line with government rules on public roads.  Motorised and battery operated equipment on site are acceptable for use by disabled and mobility restricted guests to allow them to access the relevant areas of the site as required. They need to be operated in line with the traffic management system and abide by the speed limit, and users must show consideration for other guests at all times when using the equipment.

The earliest arrival time is 1pm.

This is to allow our site teams to get your pitch ready and avoid congestion for members leaving their pitch. Please make sure you factor into your journey a location where you can park and rest if you think you may arrive at the campsite prior to 1pm.

Our reception is open 9am-10am then 1pm-6pm.
